Was pleasantly surprised with how amazing the food and service was ! we went here for my husband's birthday and the food was a thousand times better than any Benihana dinner and was so fun. We will for sure be making this apart of our regular dinner outing !
Every part of our visit was simply outstanding! We had 2 kids with birthdays and looked at Benihana and Tepanyaki but based on (terrible) Yelp reviews alone, we skipped those and found Bonsai. Same concept, same entertaining Habachi style experience but just done so much better. The place is clean, the service is exceptional, the food is great! The owner came around checking on people, cracking jokes and helping with service. The portions are overly generous too! They took out kids birthday photo and added it to the wall of hundreds of celebration visits. A nice touch! We'll be back. Highly recommend!
The food was delicious, atmosphere and ambiance so chill and fun, service was amazing! Couldn't ask for a better dinner. Tried the shrimp and salmon teriyaki with noodles.
This was my first time at Bonsai and I can say that it is one of the better teppanyaki restaurants in Utah. The menu is typical for any teppanyaki restaurant, but I'd say the prices here are 10 to 15 percent cheaper than most other places in the valley. The waitstaff and ambiance are okay. Nothing bad, nothing amazing. The chefs at the table have a great sense of humor and definitely add to the overall dining experience. The food is always delicious and is cooked to order. We go to bonsai about once a month and usually have 10 to 14 people with us. The food is excellent. The service and the cooks are excellent. My grandkids love to watch the show that the cooks put on. They always make us feel like family.
Easy and convenient place for a celebration dinner. Combination dinners like steak and shrimp or steak and chicken are actually better priced than just getting one protein. The food is simple but delicious. The chefs always put on a good show and everyone is impressed. The servers keep the tables clear and the drinks full. It's roughly $30-$34 bucks per person if you add noodles or fried rice- which I totally recommend. They have plenty of parking, it's in a strip mall. It's easy to get a table for five and has great service. There's a wall of pictures and surprisingly you'll find someone you know.
